1888 Gorham 0870 Silver Soldered 6 Piece Repousse Tea Coffee Set

Description

This is an amazing very heavy tea/coffee service set.  The weight of all of the pieces is 2,499g.   The repousse pattern is spectacular with roses and mixed flowers and leaves.
The pieces are hallmarked with the Star indicating 1888, marked Patented 1888, Gorham Co., 0870, Silver Soldered with the Anchor marking. It is not marked sterling.   The pieces do not have any dents or dings.   The piece that shows the most wear is the creamer...not sure what was left in the inside bottom of the creamer to cause the base metal to show through.  There are a few tiny spots of corrosion in the waste bowl.  It is in very good condition for its age.
