3-Piece DERBY QUADRUPLE Silverplate Tea/Coffee Set 01630

Description

This is a beautiful vintage 3-piece tea set with teapot, creamer and sugar bowl (no lid). Marked Derby Silver Co. / Quadruple Plate / 01630. History of the Derby Silver Co. indicates the Connecticut company folded in the 1930s, and having merged with the International Silver Co., the marks that don't include International are likely from the 19th Century. That being said, this strikes me as an Art Deco style design, at least in the teapot. Feel free to correct me in any of this information, I've done some research but I'm not an expect so I'm mainly presenting what I see.
As far as condition, I have polished the teapot significantly but it still needs more elbow grease. The other pieces are unpolished and do show some areas that need some work. There were some areas of the teapot that were significantly blackened. When I polished them, I removed the black areas, but it seemed to leave some discoloration in the silver. Maybe this is an effect of the quadruple plate? Please note the front and the spout in pics 5 and 6.
Overall, this is a nice vintage / antique silver set from Derby. It shows some age and tarnish but it's got some beautiful details. Give it a little love and add it to your set!
