This top-quality set is marked Rideau Plate with the wheatsheaf sign. It was made (usually in England or Canada) and sold by the Henry Birks stores in Canada AND USA. It is the footed. fancy gadroon and shell pattern in a melon shape It is made of a heavy usually quadruple silver plate as can be seen by the raised, hand chased and etched floral designs on each side of the bodies and the four beautifully designed feet.
The condition is perfect and clean. It has been lovingly cared for throughout its more than 130 years of age.
Size: Coffee pot- 6 cup size, 9"tall 10"spout to handle. 6" widest body. Teapot 6-8 cup size, 6" tall 12" spout to handle, 7" at widest part body.
