Description
Antique Teapot Hotel Ware THE NEW YORKER Hotel Art Deco Period 1930.A small probably one person. The The New Yorker opened in 1930 and remains open today. This pot looks like it came from the 1930’s. It was and still is known for its Art Deco style. And was referred to as “the Art Deco masterpiece Hotel”.
It measures 5 1/2” tall and 6 1/2” from handle to spout. It is heavy for its size. There’s a thickness to keep the coffee tea hot. I haven’t Even tried to polish it because the patina is great. It has a few shallow dents. The surface on these pots were somewhat rough. Has a nice Art Deco look and lots of history.
It’s marked international silver Co Silver soldered. Also Marked The New Yorker. Sold by Haberson Ny. A lot of the silver has worn off and there is sort of like a copper color showing.
Thanks
