Very rare and interesting item...it's both a vintage spice tin and quack medicine. The tin has a paper label. There's very little info available on Little Chief, but we have pieced together some history. There is a 1939 press photo of Little Chief White Eagle, aka Bill Reed, waiting for his court appearance over a violation of the State Medical Practice Act. There are references to him performing a medicine show, including snakes, and a few magazine ads for his act dating up to 1955. We found no other examples of this tin or any product with his name on it, and it would likely date between the 1920s and 1950s.
*We have several other Indian-themed spice tins listed for auction and for sale in our eBay store.
