    Description

Exquisite 4 piece SilverPlate Tea Service made by John Sherwood & Sons, Birmingham, England.
Made between 1858 and 1896. It is monogrammed JWW on each piece. Repousse and engraved decoration. There is a dedication on the Coffee Pot which says:
    Presented to Mr JB Waddell
As a token of respect & esteem
By his friends in Seaton Delaval,
    Sedgehill, Gramlington & the Vicinity.
A rare Tea Service. It has the makers marks on each piece plus the Crown which was not allowed on Silver Plate after 1896.
It is in perfect condition with no dents or scratches and no deterioration.
The sugar bowl does not have a lid - these styles don’t have lids. My mother has a sugar bowl like this and it doesn’t have a lid either. The last photo is the top of the sugar bowl.
The FB Rogers (Taunton, MA) tray is 24.5” long from handle to handle and 14.25” front to back. It is in good condition. There is a tiny loss of plate in one corner and a few minor scratches on the front and back and a semi-circular mark on the back which was on it when I bought it. All can be seen in the photos.
