VICTORIAN SILVER PLATE TEA POT SET
We are pleased to offer a very beautiful and elaborately designed Silver Plate (Silverplate) Tea Set from our 40 Year Collection.  The Set was manufactured
by The Meriden Britannia Company which was established in 1867.
This set is one of the grandest of the Victorian Renaissance Revival fancy Tea Set with framed etched Bird of Paradise on one side and wheat plants on the other side.  The set is marked on the underside with the Meriden Britannia pattern #1883.  Please review the photos, since they form part of the description.
The Tea pot is monogramed with the word Sallie. The set has both shiny and mat silver plate finish to accentuate its beauty.  The Tea Pot has a wonderful tulip like finial.  This set reminds us of a fancy shaped castle.  Any description or photos will not do this set justice.  This design and style are amazing and unquestionably gorgeous.

This large set consists of the Tea Pot approximately 12 1/2" Tall & 9 1/2" Wide, Waste Bowl / Urn 7 1/2" Tall & 7 1/4" wide, Sugar 6" Tall & 6" wide, and Creamer 6 3/4" Tall & 6" wide.  Other items shown in our photos are for reference only.
Beside the normal wear due to age and use, the pre-owned set is in a well maintained and used condition.  The set is very clean with some minor surface marks and scratches, please see photos.
The set is in remarkably good antique condition considering its age.  Wow, the silver coverage is just wonderful with nice mat and bright finish with a few rub through.  As we examine this set for listing, we noted additional silver plating at the Tea Pot lid hinge and the underside of the hinge.  We don't believe this is an old repair, but part of the original manufacturing process.  We will let you be the judge of that.  It is a very large gorgeous set, and any possible condition issue don't detract from its elegance and beauty.  We have proudly displayed this set in our Victorian Parlor Cabinet for years.  Don't miss this opportunity to own this elegant set.

We normally don't accept returns due to the amount of handling these 100 - 300 years old items will experience.  Antique items are sold as is, but if we agree to accept a return due damage or not as described, the shipping cost (to ship/return) will be absorbed by the buyer, and a 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund due to recent eBay/Buyer abuse experienced.  So please review the item, photos, and ask any and all the necessary questions prior to buying.
Shipping is normally USPS Parcel Ground.  We, also, made USPS priority shipping available, if you would prefer priority.
If you prefer other shipping options/carriers, please advise prior to payment.  We are very flexible.  We may need to substitute UPS/FedEx Ground for USPS Parcel Ground at the time of shipment, because it may be a faster delivery or other reasons.  Sometimes when possible, we will substitute USPS Priority to assure prompt arrival.  Please let us know, if you have an issue with the UPS/FedEx Ground substitution.   Thank you.
