- Nurse Marie Louise Davies, famous midwife
- Cheyney University, Pennsylvania - first Black university founded in the 1830's by Tortola-born benefactor Richard Humphreys
- Former chief education officer Enid Leona Scatliffe
- 10th anniversary of the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College
- Sir Olva Georges (1890-1976) Acting Administrator, Legislative Council Member and Executive Council Member
and on the souvenir sheet:
- The .00 stamp features the Victoria Cross.
- The background image shows Tortola-born Samuel Hodge during the storming and capture of Tubabecelong, near the River Gambia (30 June 1866). In recognition of his heroic deeds during the Ashantee War, Hodge became the first Black man, and one of only to, to receive the Victoria Cross --- the highest honor for bravery.
